How many of us have set New Years’ Resolutions around their health/fitness and found the complete lifestyle change all a bit much so quit two and a half weeks into January? No? Just me? I thought I’d give myself a bit of a head-start this year and set my resolutions a little early. If I can get into these habits pre festive season then I stand a better chance at making them stick post NYE.. well that’s my thought process anyway.
My reso’s for feeling good this festive season:
- Move my damn body -get up off my arse at work more, walk the dog before it gets dark and get an actual run or workout in at least 3 times a week leading up to Christmas. I have zero excuses, outside of my 9-5 I have very few commitments and so this should be absolutely doable. This includes going to bloody running club every week damn it!
- Ease off the crappy snacks, especially after work, I mean -what’s all that about?
- Keep up with the blog! I have so many draft posts ready that it makes no sense to not be posting regularly on at least a weekly basis to start with. You’ll have to check in every so often to find out if I keep to this one.
- Get s*** off my chest but don’t dwell on it. This year has been a real crapper I won’t lie but it’s so important to make plans and be excited for the future. Book trips, have adventures and spend more time with friends.
I think that’ll do for now. I’ll recap these before going into the new year to see how it’s going.
